Description
FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensors are a fiber optic technology produced by only a handful of countries worldwide and the first and only manufacturer in Turkey. They are produced and developed entirely locally by SAVER/Ermaksan. FBG sensors can measure strain, temperature, pressure, acceleration, vibration and displacement. Applications: First applications were carried out in TUSAŞ's ANKA-2 UAV development project with very successful results. Demonstrated at IDEF 2019. Security applications include integrated barbed-wire systems for barracks security cameras, perimeter security for critical facilities (outposts, bases, borders), culvert monitoring (counter-IED), terrorist transit areas and shelter perimeters, and border security alarm systems (ground and fences).
