LaHAS
Laser Communication System — secure optical-spectrum alternative to RF communications.
Description
LaHAS is a secure communication system that operates in the optical spectrum as an alternative to RF (Radio Frequency) communications. It provides secure data transfer for intelligence, fire support, logistics and electronic warfare operations. Security Advantages: by operating in the optical spectrum rather than the RF band, it is immune to eavesdropping and jamming, preventing the enemy from detecting communication points. E1 link data transfer enables telephone, fax, imagery and voice transmission; video conferencing and rapid data transmission are possible during critical communication outages. Compatible with NATO and national crypto standards. Deployment Flexibility: suitable for fixed stations, border security operations and critical infrastructure; requires no cabling or terrain-dependent installation. Usable in land and naval applications (ship-to-shore communications).
